Mouchel is an infrastructure and business services group that provides design, managerial, engineering and operational services to support modern society. They work with UK government agencies, local authorities and with industries regulated by government to provide safe and reliable roads, effective and well managed local education and civic infrastructure, clean water and cost-effective energy. The very specialist nature of the roles we were being asked to fill from Mouchel meant the traditional career fair became non productive and the responses almost non-existent.
The solution we used to bring the career fair back to life was the introduction of the linking to a candidate database resource and the combination of ‘live networking’ the market by recruitment experts; targeted e-shots, use of social media and enhanced referral and recommendation schemes to drive the attendance.
Career events were designed, implemented, managed and followed through in various regions of the country specifically targeted at Mouchel’s critical project needs. The overall conversion rate from attendee to placement was very good at just over 4:1 because we were able to source from a predetermined audience from which we were able to tightly pre-select skill sets to target and we had an opportunity to present the Client’s brand in a live, interactive environment which greatly increased its effectiveness.
