Job description

A Senior Engineer is required to join Rail client in Bristol. The successful candidate will be involved in a Design & Build project, installing miles of track renewal, upgrading structures and stations. The civil works involve demolition, construction of new roads and foot bridges. The project also involves platform extensions. The successful candidate will be a hands on Engineer who will act a point of contact between the site team and the temporary works designers. You will ensure that temporary works schemes are implemented as per the drawings and specification. Inspections of temporary works and cost forecasting will also be required.  

Ideally located within sensible commuting distance of Bristol, you will have previous experience as a Senior Site Engineer within Rail or Highways projects. The successful candidate will hold a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent along with a commitment towards professional qualification. Ideally you will have previous working knowledge of complex temporary work schemes and hold a current PTS card (Personal Track Safety). The ability to use CAD is essential whilst SMSTS would be desirable. 

The client is accomplished in providing new, replacement or upgraded infrastructure on heavy rail, light rail and underground networks. This includes structures, permanent way, power, communications and signalling systems. They are able to deliver complex rail schemes in and around sensitive communities and transport interchanges. Over the years they have delivered a number of high profile rail infrastructures schemes including major elements of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and major track and structure enhancements.
