I am currently recruiting for a Head of H&S position for a facilities management service provider to work in their Health, Education, Authorities and Defence Division.
The Head of HSE will be responsible for recommending and implementing HSE strategy to ensure the continuous improvement of of Health Safety and Environmental performance across the business.
They will coordinate with the UKs Head of HSEQ and represent the business on the HSEQ Operational Board. They will take responsibility for the management of the systems which comprise of externally certified OHSAS 18001, 14001 Environmental 50001 Energy Management standards and the delivery of the certification expansion programme within the division.
Working with the respective sector Managing Directors and their management teams they will provide advice and guidance to the business on all HSE matters to ensure compliance with legislation and to generate a progressive and engaging Health, Safety and Environmental cultural change programme in
line with the UK strategy. They will manage the delivery of UK set KPIs for HSE and the reduction of liability claims. They will review relevant information and contribute to the HSEQ Business Plan for each sector setting out sector specific strategy for improvement.
Candidates will ideally have worked in a senior management position and have experience managing a team. They will have previously worked in the facilities management industry or have multi site experience. They will also have a background in strategic H&S and behavioural safety.
Candidates MUST have a full UK driving licence as travel to offices UK wide will be expected.
