Job description
This organisation are looking for an ICT Procurement Officer. You will ideally knowledge of Stores processes, ICT Hardware, Software purchasing and Invoicing. This is a 3 month contract initially. 

Main Duties: 
* To assist in the promotion and implementation of the Corporate ICT Procurement policy and in the communication of associated departmental policies. 
* To follow County Council Contract Standing Orders and Financial Regulations for Corporate ICT Procurement and Services. 
* To provide administrative support in respect of ICT contracts, including the maintenance and update of technical specifications to standard equipment. 
* To process ICT Procurement orders using the relevant corporate procurement system. 
* To process ICT Procurement invoices using the relevant corporate procurement system and following the relevant corporate financial guidelines. 
* To liaise with Suppliers regarding quotes, orders, deliveries, defective equipment, evaluation equipment, queries etc. 
* To work closely with the ICT Finance staff to resolve any queries on invoice payment. 
* To manage the ICT Desktop support stores function on a day to day basis. 
* To provide stock auditing services in relation to the stores function in line with agreed procedures 
* To assist in the provision of specialist knowledge and advice for ICT Directorate Managers and Business Units regarding ICT Procurement. 
* To deputise for the Procurement Specialist from time to time as required. 
* To assist with the maintenance of licensing information and FAST accreditation. To promote new legislation in licensing and incorporate changes into the County Council Software Policy. 
* Such other duties as may arise in connection with the activities mentioned above. 

You should match the following criteria: 
* At least 2 years proven experience of working in an ICT Procurement environment or related role 
* Experience of working in a modern ICT environment 
* Proven experience of developing processes and procedures 
* Ability to work to a high level of accuracy within deadlines, with minimal supervision 
* Good knowledge and understanding of Corporate Standards for ICT hardware and software 
* Basic technical knowledge of ICT, to enable advice and guidance to be given on the recommendation of ICT solutions to Customers 
* Knowledge of Software licensing (FAST) 
* Experience of PCs and PC applications, specifically Microsoft Office
