Then I have the role for you.

I am currently assisting a well-respected Lloyd's Insurance Company recruiting for a Compliance Officer to work in their central London office in the heart of the Lloyd's Insurance market.  

Working directly with the Head of Compliance and Company Secretary you will be responsible for setting and maintaining the quality control and compliance policies and procedures whilst ensuring they are robust on all activities.  You will also be responsible for developing and implementing all systems and controls, supporting the organisation on its business plan.  

Within this role you will be expected to build relationships with all internal stakeholders including Underwriter's, Support Services, Operations, and Accounts.  You will also liaise with the external governing bodies for example Lloyd's and the FCA/PRA - ensuring minimum standards are met.

You will be the business' expert providing knowledge on all areas of risk and compliance, keeping abreast of all regulatory and legislative changes as well as managing any new recommendations from the FCA/PRA.   

A knowledge of the Lloyd's Market is essential as you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring processes and procedures for Underwriting, Delegated Authority Underwriting, Claims, Due Diligence of Counter parties, International Sanctions, and managing any conflicts of interest.

It is also essential that you have experience of working in compliance with a knowledge of the FCA handbook including principles, rules, guidelines and recommendations.  

A broad knowledge of risk management practices is expected as you will be responsible for gap analysis identifying potential risks, impacts as well as advising/recommending on how to improve procedures as mitigate potential risks.
