We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to start a permanent position working on Prestigious Contract covering the South West. Working for this leading Facilities Management company as Quantity Surveyor you will be required to provide commercial support to the Area and Regional Teams, this will include Value for Monday, Risk Management, Account verifications and Cost Estimation.

 

Other duties as quantity Surveyor will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure NEC3 contract processes and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Provide cost advice and support to Additional Services
  • Support operational teams with guidance on NEC3 and contract particulars
  • Assist Commercial Managers with dispute avoidance and any dispute resolution
  • Deliver Change Management in accordance with NEC3 term Service Contract ensuring timescales are met by all relevant stakeholders
  • Management and resolution of queries submitted by Supply Chain regarding Core Services pricing
  • Maintain commercial control to enable planned milestone payments are achieved
  • Monitor and review Supply Chain performance
  • Manage supplier payments in line with contractual and company policy
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commercial risk management procedures
  • Attend meetings, provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial matters
  • Assist Commercial & Risk Manager in preparing dispute avoidance strategy and any dispute resolution
  • Assist Commercial & Risk Manager in monitoring and presenting monthly cost reports as required to high level of accuracy
  • All other QS / Commercial duties as reasonably required

 

You must have experience working as Quantity Surveyor within an FM, Construction, engineer etc. or similar environment and be qualified to HND/Foundation Degree level in Quantity Surveying or significant equivalent experience. Experience with NEC3 Contracts.

 

You must have experience in:

  • Developing cost models
  • Risk Analysis & Management
  • Preparation of work proposals/tenders
  • Dispute resolution
  • Excellent  working  knowledge of commercial processes
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Fraud prevention

 

It would be an advantage to be have a Membership of Professional Body but this is not essential.
