Job description

Our client is a leading main contractor within the Construction and Rail sector with an opportunity for a Head of project Services to join their business on a permanent basis to manage the provision of non- construction related services including ICT, HR, Facilities management, Prime contract management, administration and innovation across their project.

  •              Oversight of project services including the provision of office facilities ICT systems and infrastructure, HR, recruitment, induction, administration, finance and risk management, cleaning and welfare and the provision of office security;
  •              Provide Secretariat to the contractor to ensure the effective decision making and operation of the JV for the benefit of the project;
  •              Be the project point of contact for the contractors Legal and Corporate Governance departments
  •              Work with the procurement team to define the scope of service and procure the necessary support services including cleaning and welfare security, software and hardware maintenance, copiers and consumables;
  •              Liaise with the contractors ICT to ensure effective implementation of IT and communication systems on the project, including helpline and ongoing maintenance and repair facilities
  •              Oversee the development and implementation of the Cyber Security Plan, the Data Management Plan and IT exit plan;
  •              Oversee the provision of an HR service to the project, ensuring the HR Manager works effectively with HR departments;
  •              Oversee and manage the provision of an administration function including management of the administration and finance management systems, administration support for the project team, meeting and travel management functions.
  •              Develop and manage the Incident Management Plan and be the focal point in the event of an Incident


  •              Minimum 10 years experience of business administration
  •              Experience of operating in large project/ programme organisations
  •              Degree or qualification in Business management or similar
  •              Exceptional general management and business management skills
  •              Good knowledge of IT, accounting and other business management systems
  •              Good knowledge of outsourcing and management of service level contracts
  •              Familiarity with HR management
