Our client is a leading main contractor and has an opportunity for an experience Temporary Works Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis to work on a London station redevelopment to support HS2. You will be required to lead all aspects of the design, including coordination, submission, compliance, programming and management of design, engineering and assurance, maintaining and updating the Temporary Works Procedure.
Being the first point of contact between the designers of Temporary Works and the site team
Co-ordination of all Temporary Works activities; appointment of Temporary Works Supervisors.
Ensuring that the various responsibilities have been allocated and accepted by the relevant parties (Designated Individual, TWS and Construction team etc.)
Ensuring that a satisfactory Temporary Works design is carried out, that appropriate design checks are completed and that the design has been approved; ensuring the independence of checks by delegating the checking to another individual when required;
Maintaining all records relating to the final design of the Temporary Works including drawings, calculations and other relevant documents.
Ensuring that those responsible for constructing the Temporary Works receive full details of the design, including any limitations and guidance notes associated with it and prepare a specific method statement.
Ensuring that any proposed changes in materials or construction are checked against the original design and appropriate action taken.
To ensure the independence of checks by delegating the checking to another individual when required via the Temporary Works Supervisor.
To ensure that all appropriate maintenance and inspection of the Temporary Works is carried out.
