Our client is a leading Main contractor working in the Civil Engineering and Transportation sector with an opportunity to add an In house Recruiter to their business in London.
You will be required to have a good understanding of white collar recruitment within the Civil Engineering sector.
Advertise vacancies as appropriate including on LinkedIn, job boards, with job centres as required by Strategic Labour Needs and Training (SLNT) commitments, with agencies etc. Liaise with headhunters as and when necessary.
Pre-screen applications, prepare shortlists for managers to interview, conduct interviews and carry out reference checks when required.
Complete all recruitment related administration. Maintain records of applicants for vacancies and details of interviews held. File all associated documents for successful applications on the HR shared drive. Update details of temporary staff on HR shared drive.
Carry out phone screening with all candidates as an initial step of the interview process and determine appropriate subsequent steps with hiring managers.
Collect interview feedback from interviewers and hiring managers. Carry out weekly telephone conference calls with hiring managers where necessary.
Manage the weekly recruiting report containing all current positions and a list of candidates in the pipeline to be sent to HR in Madrid and to be reviewed on a weekly basis with the MD UK & Ireland and the HR Manager.
Establish salary ranges/benchmarking, prepare all documents required for appointments including sending requests for approval with backup documentation to Madrid, issue regret letters and respond to all enquiries.
Implement strategies to identify, attract and hire high quality employees. Provide input on best sourcing channels. Source active and passive candidates through networking, cold calling, advertisements, job fairs and internet research.
Work to help determine staffing strategy in partnership with the MD and the HR Manager. Attend job fairs and other events related to recruitment requirements. Develop social networking channels and promote the business as an employer of choice.
Visit project and regional office locations throughout the UK & Ireland as required.
