Train Mods Technicians

x2 Electrical test mod technician

x2 Mechanical fitter on mods

This role will adapt into a field based position.

Our client is a leading Rolling stock and service specialist in the Rail industry. they require 2 mechanical fitters and 2 electrical bias test guys for flex mods and snags.

Flex is a product you may have heard of, Flex involves an enabling of Traction on trains to switch from Diesel to electric or visa versa. 

So our Client requires a team to me made up that requires at least a 2 month training period (fully paid in working hours) on the unit /product known as "flex" 

As this is a reasonably new product the training period is a must as you will responsible for heading out to various depots and picking up snags and modifications on the flex units.

Depots you will travel to with company vans will be Allerton (Liverpool), Canton (Cardiff) and Reading.

Rates of will rise once you are off the shop floor after the 2 months training.

Experience: of working on EMUs and DMUs, class 158s, 159s and 319s Trains is most desirable.

Qualifications: of either NVQ 3 and or Apprenticeship in respective skill sets, higher levels of education are of course accepted as long as they are met with relevant experience.


choice of Ltd company, umbrella or PAYE pay is available.

Rates of will rise once you are off the shop floor after the 2 months training and you are out in the field.

Travel covered once in the field. (company van)

Accommodation and expenses covered once out in the field.
