Job description

The Role:

The Communications & Engagement Executive will work closely with the Divisional PR Manager to support on projects related to public relations and engagement. You will support the Divisional Marketing & Communications Team in their delivery of communications, with a particular focus on PR, engagement and beneficial activities for the divisional BD team.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  • Identifying and developing relevant sponsorship opportunities
  • Developing speaking opps programme
  • Media monitoring and evaluation
  • Key case studies to support with BD and engagement activities
  • Creation of ideas for our social media channels
  • Monitoring of the news agenda and a keen eye for a good story
  • Regular liaison with internal members of staff to identify and generate news
  • Collation of content for communications materials 
  • Ensuring messaging and content is consistent and accurate with all activities/materials
  • Supporting with PR and content for the division
  • Delivery of Public Affairs programme for the division
  • Providing adequate support to members of the P&C Marketing & Communications team 
  • Building strong relationships with members of the BD team
  • Effectively managing and prioritising workload 
  • Making a significant contribution to the divisional team
  • Timely responses to all requests 
  • Delivery of information with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Enhancing business development opportunities through communications and engagement  
  • Also supporting communications requirements across the division at multiple sites and offices 
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of experience in a comparable role 
  • Experience working within communications is essential 
  • Experience working within a B2B environment would be beneficial 
  • A degree or formal qualification in relevant subject 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and digital applications, such as SharePoint, Word Press CMS and social media channels
Knowledge and Skills: 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good written skills and ability to implement initiatives
  • Strong logistical / planning skills 
  • Strong networking skills
