A new opportunity has become available for an experienced HR Advisor to work in our Newbury office. I’m looking for someone who can give managers advice around 'grey areas' with little guidance, how the candidate has advised managers where the policy hasn't been clear or there have been challenging situations.
- The focus of this role will be to provide a comprehensive, expert service of advice and guidance to enable the capability of Managers and employees in dealing with all people matters.
- With your own caseload to manage, you will liaise with managers, helping them to interpret policies and procedures, utilising your knowledge of employment law whilst taking a best practice approach.
- To be successful you will need proven experience of working in a similar HR role providing advice on complex ER cases. You’ll ideally be CIPD qualified but it’s not essential. What really matters to us is someone who naturally adopts a coaching style with managers and uses your active listening skills to help navigate through a range of cases encouraging managers to take ownership. We’re always wanting to build on the skills of our people managers and, alongside your colleagues, you’ll help identify training needs and ways to address these. Ideally you’ll be analytical and able to identify trends.
- The hours are 8.30 - 5pm Mon - Thurs and 8.30 - 4.30pm Friday although some flex may be required. Travel is also a part (we cover South / South West regions).
