An opportunity for a Bulk Material Coordinator has risen with one of the regions prominent groundwork contractors.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement the successful applicant will play a key role in the financial success of projects across the region ensuring that materials and fuel are effectively procured and available for use on projects in a timely fashion at the best possible cost to the business.
You'll engage with existing suppliers as well as source new opportunities to improve the supply chain and strengthen the commercial position of the buying department not only in terms of cost but also to ensure quality and reliable availability of materials.
You'll also conduct supplier performance reviews against KPI's and service level agreements, source and recommend alternative products, provide cost and logistical information to support the estimating team with tender submissions and assess materials on site to effectively manage stock levels.

To be considered you will need to have previous experience working within the procurement department of a construction related business, ideally within the civil or groundwork sector although other relevant experience will be considered.
You should also be educated to HNC level or higher in a commercially biased construction related qualification, CIPS accredited qualifications are highly desirable.
