What you’ll do
You will perform a vital role supporting the Leakage team to ensure they receive the data they need to identify areas of leakage. As well as being able to manage your work load, you will cover a large area deploying, retrieving, downloading and processing data from acoustic noise loggers.
Your main responsibilities will include:-
- Deploying and retrieving noise logging equipment
- Downloading and processing the data to pinpoint areas of interest.
- Working closely with the RPS and client teams
- Keeping records up to date
The Noise Logging Technician will be responsible for the set up and installation of data loggers. You will deploy and retrieve loggers (small metal listening devices) within in a DMA (district metered area) for water companies. The day to day duties include deploying loggers within the client’s area, most likely on fire hydrants and valves. The loggers will need to be retrieved 24 hrs later and downloaded to see what results have been captured and the process repeated.

Possession of the following current certification is an advantage:
- EUSR Water Hygiene Card
- Unit 2 Street Works
- Confined Space
You are required to drive for the role and must hold a full and valid driving licence.
This is a manual job which may involve lifting, stretching and bending and experience of driving long hours is beneficial. Previous experience within the water industry and using an acoustic logger would be advantageous.
