Commercial Building Services Maintenance Apprentice

We have a truly exceptional opportunity for a 16-19 year old school leaver with strong mathematics and science GCSE's to apply for a comprehensive 4 year apprenticeship programme to become a qualified Building Services Maintenance Engineer. 

You will be based around Birmingham, however over the course of each year, you will travel six times to Scotland, for between 2 and four weeks at a time to undergo training in partnership with a local college. For the remaining time throughout the year, you will be working alongside fully qualified engineers in the Midlands. 

You will have the opportunity to learn Electrical Maintenance, Heating and Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Fabric Maintenance, with the opportunity to specialise in one or more disciplines. All relevant qualifications will be paid for by the company. 

All flights, accommodation and evening meals while staying in Scotland are provided and you will earn the following hourly rates while an apprentice:

Yr 1: £6.50 per hour 

Yr 2: £9.18 per hour

Yr 3: £11.83 per hour

Yr 4: £11.83 per hour 

You will have to undergo a rigorous interview and assessment process to be accepted on this course with a score needed in excess of 80% to be successful.
