A high quality bespoke house builder are looking to recruit a Land Manager to work in Hagley in the West Midlands
You will work in a team that is responsible for identifying and sourcing the best locations for new developments. It’s fast moving and, in today’s climate, extremely competitive and commercial in its focus.
You will need to be commercial and competitive in bidding for sought after land. You also need to be imaginative in identifying other possibilities – such as land that currently doesn’t have planning permission.
It’s a complex area of work, and one that’s under intense commercial scrutiny and pressure. It’s also the lifeblood of the business, which makes this team’s work even more vital and far-reaching.
Delivery of major complex residential schemes up to detailed planning consent
Sourcing and securing of new land opportunities, both on and off market, including short to medium term options
Engaging with local communities and local authorities in pre-planning application discussions
Liaising with registered social landlords to deliver affordable housing
Managing an existing portfolio of projects/opportunities
Identify and aquire sites including project acquisition,identification and diligence including offer,contract,purchase/planning/pre start for the sites aquired.
Maintenance and expansion of the divisions contact base such as land agents and land owners
Assist the Land Director with major projects
Produce professional land reports and ensure accurate bids are placed for land
Travel including planning committees and entertaining

Established within the industry for over 130 years.
You will worked as a Land Manager or in a similar Land role in a house building environment.
You will be familiar with all aspects of land purchase (maximisation of offer,market research,technical,commercial disciplines),sales,commercial,technical,design and legal aspects.
Good geographical knowledge of the area and good negotiation skills
A relevent Land Degree or degree in Residential Development is useful
