Job Role Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary & Package - £60,000 - £70,000+ Car Allowance, Bonus, Benefits

Location Coventry

The Company

Our client is a leading, award winning medium sized main contractor within the Civils, Build and Rail sectors. They seek to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager to join their successfull team in Birmingham. With a turnover of circa £500m+ and expected growth the company is looking to expand its operations. 

The Project

The position will focus on commercial operations on a large new build transport hub for the city of Coventry.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Support and assistance on all commercial operations

Preparation of Valuations/Applications for Payment on a monthly basis with full supporting documentation in an efficient and timely manner and in accordance with the contract.

Preparation of Cost Reports

Maintain subcontract and material Procurement Schedules.

Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts

Preparation, negotiation and agreement of Compensation Events/variations

To assist in identifying and proactively managing all commercial risks and opportunities and carrying out value engineering exercises.

Establishment a robust system of cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirements and ensure that it is strictly followed by all the site team.

Attend financial meetings wherever required
