Job description
Job Title:  Bench Fitter
Location:  Lincoln
Duration:  Permanent
Salary: £19,541 p/a plus overtime and shift pay
Hours: 37 hours plus overtime, 3 shift rotation

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Bench Fitting
Assembly of finished bearings, deburring, pinning, rumble deburr
Self inspect
You will be trained and will be responsible for several relevant inspection / sanctioning of work within the cell
Work within other A350 areas when required to help with throughput
Be able to read and understand Engineering drawings
Be able to use inspection equipment such as micrometres – but training will be given
Ensure the smooth running of the bench / fitting area
Ensure all components meet the required quality standards
Ensure product is delivered ‘On Time In Full’ 
Inspection duties for relevant features where identified
Full involvement with the area set up and WIP organisation
Be involved in setting and maintaining high standard 6s work place organisation
Maintain high standards of quality 
To champion continuous Improvements activities in relation to all manufacturing process and inspection activities relating to the cell.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
Bench Fitting work experience

Probation Period:
All employees in new jobs are required to undergo a six month probationary period, during which suitability for the position is assessed.

Health and Safety:
All employees are responsible for reading, understanding and carrying out the requirements of the company’s Health and Safety policy and for informing a relevant person if they become aware of any non-compliance with the policy or of any identified training need.

Continual Development:
The company requires individuals to identify and analyse their own training and development needs and to actively participate in the design of a development plan to meet these needs and the needs of the company.  This should be achieved through the appraisal process. Employees should recognise and take advantage of development opportunities and should periodically review their own progress towards meeting previously agreed goals.
