Following acquisition by Fusion People in 2010, the Etica brand is to be merged into the established Fusion People and Hillman Saunders brands with staff split into the two operating divisions.
The move to supersede the Etica brand comes as a change in strategy in 2012 to provide IT staff to clients being serviced by other businesses within the group proved highly successful. The majority of Etica clients today are leveraged from other areas of the group and following consultation with key stakeholders, it has become clear that it makes sense to offer a more seamless service by incorporating the delivery of IT staff into those other brands.
Originally based in Reading, the acquisition by Fusion People in 2010 saw coverage increase with offices being added in London and Bristol. The acquisition also provided all businesses within the group with the opportunity to offer IT staff in addition to their core offering. As a result, by the first quarter of 2013, Etica was supplying IT specialists to a diverse range of clients across a range of sectors including Construction, Engineering, Insurance and Financial Services.
As a result the team at Etica have been split with those with expertise in supplying the broader market including Construction and Engineering becoming part of Fusion People, and those with expertise in Insurance and Financial Services becoming part of Hillman Saunders.
Managing Director of Fusion People and Hillman Saunders, Steve Harper, believes the change will be good for both jobseekers and employers;
For me this change provides us with 2 opportunities; the ability to provide jobseekers with a greater variety of roles, and for our clients a more simple, one-stop solution for their staffing needs. When we work with businesses today, we can provide them with both their core, specialist staff as well as support staff ranging from admin and HR people, and now IT specialists too.
